Up for sale is my Oysterdate Precision. This reference has a 30 mm case, best suited to a woman.
This watch serial number (1.1 million) dates it to circa 1964.
Dial: excellent original condition with hard to find applied gold arrow markers. Original tritium lume and T Swiss T at the bottom.
Movement: manual wind cal 1215, serviced by me at an independent watchmaker in 2016, but no paperwork on that. The Rolex crown winds and screws down smoothly; date sets as it should. The watch keeps good time and holds power well.
Case: not overpolished, edges are sharp. The expected swirlies, but no visible dings or dents.
Bracelet: this watch comes on a Swiss made flat link Rolex Jubilee bracelet reference clasp 62510M, with 587B end links. The clasp code is K4. My understanding is that code dates which it to the 1980s. It has some stretch, but not much. There are 17 links.
Overall, a really good looking watch, with a special dial, all authentic and in very good condition.
In pricing this, I looked hard for comparables. There are not many 6466s out there to choose from; most are in poor condition, and you will look for a long time, maybe forever, to find one in super condition with these beautiful gold arrow markers. Uncommon indeed.
I believe $1950 is a fair price. That’s F2F in Ottawa or with tracked Canada Post shipping anywhere in Canada at my expense.
Lots of positive references available on request, or check my buyer/seller feedback in CWC.
Thanks for looking.
