Hello CWC, For sale is a very intetesting JDM Seiko.
In 1913 Seiko introduced their first wristwatch called Laurel, several decades later in 1953 they introduced their first Self-Winding watch. 60 years later a new Presage line was released which is heavily based on the original Laurel 1913 to celebrate that plateau.
This watch is a lot of bang per buck because it offers a lot of value, has the finishing, heritage and specs.
This is the hidden gem below $1000 for a dress watch overshadowed by the Alpinist and Sarb033/35. It is superior in so many ways.

Specs: Water Resistance: 10ATM
Diameter 40.5*mm (w/o the crown) Thickness: 13.1 mm *
Lug to lug: 47.5mm
Unlike the newer complication cocktail versions with 4r movements they are 14mm thick, however this version is 13.1mm and wears really nice for a complicated watch.
See-through back Case (Hardlex Crystal), front crystal is domed saphire with AR coating.
Signed crown with "S".

Case: brushed on top of lugs and polished on the sides. As you would expect from a Presage line... the finishing is pretty amazing.

Dial: the dial is a cherry on top. Applied Seiko logo, herringbone texture on the dial, great details with the power reserve indicator and date wheel. The date changes are super quick! Hands are blued.

Movement: SEIKO Automatic 6R27
29 JewelsWith Hand winding and Hack functionPower reserve: 45 HourAccuracy: +25/-15 sec/da, mines runs at about +5. This is the higher grade of 6r15 movement used in alpinist and sarb033 but instead of 21 600bph this one has 28 800 giving it that extra smooth sweep.

Watch comes on an OEM brown crocodile strap with a deployment buckle. Again, this is a big step up from the usual Seiko leather straps. Wears like a premium.
Shows minimal signs of wear. Id rate it near mint to mint. Photos dont do it justice.
Watch was bought April/2018 so theres still warranty on it. Comes with box and papers.

With all these specs in mind, it kicks above its weight & price.

Id prefer a F2F in Toronto sale. Asking price is $750. Goes for 900 - a bit over 1000 plus taxes and duties. So you are saving a quite a few bucks here plus it doesnt come up often for sale.

Reason for selling is to fund something else.
