Hello CWC,
Here I am selling my Omega Seamaster 2230.50 which has a been modified with a black, aluminum Planet Ocean bezel (from the 2201.50). The watch was fully serviced by an Omega certified watchsmith in June 2018. The serial number suggests that this is from around 2003 plus or minus a year or two. It comes with Omega red box, outer white box, and instruction manual.
Case - It's the full size 41 mm SMP 300 case in very good condition. The only notable thing is a very minor indentation on one side bottom/case back near 8 o'clock. I have shown it in the pictures.
Dial and hands - The non-AC dial is awesome. The lume is bright and lasts all night. The sword hands are in perfect condition.
Crystal - Mint. Worth noting, as shown in the pictures, is that crystal and bezel are perfectly flush. No difference in height whatsoever. This is not achieved when other SMP 300s (e.g., 2254) are fitted with this PO bezel.
Bezel and insert - Mint condition. Not a scratch on the insert. The click is perfect and crisp. There is no backplay at all.
Movement - The chronometer grade calibre 1120 is running very strong. It's about + 7 s/d and power reserve is over 40 hours. It winds and changes time buttery smooth and date flips over perfectly at midnight. It has been completely serviced in June and is waranteed for 2 years...until June 2020.
Bracelet - The 1610/930 "speedy style" bracelet is in mint condition. Minor marks here and there. Insignificant stretch or flex. Includes 10 full links and a not so easy to find half link.
Clasp - Superficial desk diving marks. Opens and closes perfectly as does the diver's extension. The engraving is deep and sharp.
Box - Both the red inner box and white outer box are in very good condition.
Overall this is a gorgeous, sporty timepiece with hard to come by parts. The non-AC dial, the 1610/930 speedy style bracelet, and black aluminum PO bezel are all getting rare to find in this condition and at a reasonable price. The cal 1120 movement is legendary for it's ease of service and bulletproof design.
I asking a reasonable $3000 shipped, fully insured, to anywhere in our great nation.
I'm open to offers and trades.
Thanks for looking!
