For sale is my Speedmaster MK40. This all original example dates to 1995 and is an earlier version of this reference with a tritium dial. These are sometimes referred to as a Speedmaster day date. The watch has a chronograph, day, date and am/pm complication.

Specs -

- reference 3250.53
- serial would date the watch to 1995
- 39mm stainless steel case
- 18mm lugs
- Omega cal 1151 movement (Valjoux 7751)
- all original

Watch comes with original bracelet and box - no papers.

A few notes for full disclosure.

- The day window is slightly misaligned - it came that way when I purchased it and it didn’t bother me so I didn’t bother getting it fixed. Figured I’d address it at the next service which hasn’t rolled around yet.
- There is a small ding in the bezel at around 10 o’clock. Bezel insert looks great.
- sometimes the movement feels a bit heavy (for lack of a better term). Watch is keeping great time (see timegrapher photo) and the chronograph works perfectly but you can almost feel the rotor moving at times.

Asking $3375 obo shipped. Don’t hesitate to PM me if you have any questions.

I listed the watch on the Reddit watchexchange yesterday and quite a few people chimed in saying the the heaviness I described in the rotor was very common in Valjoux 775x movements and nothing to be concerned about. I can provide a link to that listing if anyone is interested.
