For sale is a beautiful Omega Speedmaster Professional Apollo XVII 45th Anniversary limited edition of 1972 pieces, also known as the "Last Man on the Moon" as this mission represented the last time a manned mission visited the surface of the moon in 1972.
This amazing box set and watch comes in like new condition. There is not a mark on the watch or crystal. The bracelet, which is the new Speedmaster style with glide lock style extension, has never been worn and still has protective plastic.
The box set itself is one of the most stunning from Omega, beautiful blue lacquered display box, the interior features the transcript of the last transmission from the surface of the moon. The set comes including a blue leather watch roll with the Apollo 17 mission patch printed on it, and key dates of the mission inscribed on the watch cushion.
The dial and bezel of this watch are done in blue ceramic giving it a beautiful character as the ceramic catches and glistens in the light (very difficult to capture this or the beautiful blue color in pictures). The hour markers and hands are in 18k yellow gold, and the bezel is done in Ceragold. The seconds subdial bears the image of Apollo, and the case back has a striking engraving of the mission patch.
Also included as a bonus in the sale is a very nice Aaron Bespoke custom blue suede strap with accents matching the watch, gold minimal stitching and a red leather backing matching the red mission time marking on the dial.
