Watch was sold in December 2013 by Watchfinder for $6.7k to a lawyer. I picked the watch up as he traded it Damiani for part trade against a 2 tone Datejust and just happened to be there to see this unique piece.

I really love the black PVD as it gives the luminor some welcomed attitude. Dresses up or down, and has quickly turned into my daily the last month.

The watch pairs well with so many OEM straps, it's crazy.

Looking for $5,600 or an older submariner/GMT pepsi. Any condition.

I swapped the hands for a-series tritium hands. I do still have the original luminova hands.

Apologies to those that messaged me regarding this, or any other active watch listed and didn’t receive a response.

I took a couple month break from all things watch related.

I am however once again available, so fire me a message. Ive also decided to add a nice little bonus to the kit to celebrate my first deal back on the site!

Question is....
What’s in the box! Whats in the boxxx!!!!

The winner will be whomever finalizes a deal (cash in hand, or wire) first, and can include any of the 4 models shown (PAM112, PVD PAM112, PAM188 or PAM24 T-dial). A great style cross section, with a little something for everyone : )

I have a feeling I’m going to get into trouble for this fun little game. So please assume that the box content value is $0.

After the deal is completed, there may be one or more items added to the box, but in the event that occurs, the box enrichment is unrelated and you are never to speak of it.

There was no box. There is no box.

A quick update on the 112DLC.

I’ve have some great conversations with collectors and though there is a significant amount of interest in the DLC models, including this one, I get the sense that what I consider to be a unique character and style with this watch isn’t necessarily shared by others.

Particularly when I’m getting offers below what an average 112 sells for, which considering removing the DLC is only a couple hundred dollars, tells me I need to bring the watch back to where it was when it originally sold post-PVD for $6,800.

With that in mind, I’m in talks with various top DLC service providers to find the best fit. There is one shop in Toronto, but I wasn’t satisfied with the projected durability of their coatings. I’m in talks with another American provider and will advise as that progresses.

Additionally, the one real unsightly stainless showing was on the end of the strap bar that screws into the lugs.

I was somehow able to procure through my connection a set of NOS strap bars from a PAM28A or B. They sound like they shouldn’t be rare (or freakishly expensive for that matter), but any modern PVD panerai has quick release straps/bar. And Panerai just wasn’t making PVD models as part of their standard lineup following the B series in 1999.

And when they do, they tend to be somewhat cost prohibitive:

Technically at $9-$12k, the PAM4 A or B is the most cost effective luminor PVD option available.

I still think the value proposition for the 112PVD as it sits is stellar. But unless I end up keeping the watch or it sells in the interim, the watch is scheduled to have the entire case stripped, and an exceptionally strong (yet stylish) DLC coating added back to bring the watch to 10/10 condition.

The price of the NeoDLC 112 is as yet unknown as DLC service price hasn’t been set yet, but price will be adjusted to reflect the updated condition of the watch and original completeness if the set (100%)

Now for the sexy strap bar photos!

Bump.

I’m not sure how this guy is still around. I’m guessing it cause the PVD coating isn’t flawless.

The PVD112 is not selling at a premium despite the $2k coating it has. And the great part is, enjoy the black for a while, and removing a PVD coating isn’t anywhere near the cost of applying it. Maybe $100-$200 tops.

And one more photo. This time along with the 2016 Tourneau purchased tudor that will be available shortly.
