Ok - I had this watch listed on here a little while back (link - https://canwatchco.ca/showthread.php?49888-FS-RCAF-Breitling&highlight=RCAF ). It didn’t generate much interest so i moved it to eBay on one of those $1 promotional weekends... and perhaps predictably a deal there fall apart when the eBay buyer didn't pay. So now i'm listing it here again at a greatly reduced price in hopes of making a quick sale.
For sale is my RCAF Breitling monopusher. This watch has a 1969 serial number. These were produced by Breitling for the Royal Canadian Air Force and never sold to the public. The majority of these issued watches were destroyed by the DND at the end of their service life.
I purchased this watch early last year. I had the original hour and minute hands re-lumed with vintage tritium (by James Hyman) and added a period signed Breitling crown. Dial and second hand are completely original.
The original stainless steel case remains very sharp. This watch was serviced by the previous owner in February of 2017 and is running strong (see timegrapher photo).
-36mm stainless steel case
-18mm lugs
-Valjoux 236 movement
-original unsigned white dial
-original hour and minute hand (re-lumed by the best in the business)
-original distinctive orange seconds hand.
