Up for grabs is the classic Explorer 2 16570 in black.
It is an N serial which suggests production in 91/92. Dial and hands are original tritium; they do not glow but haven’t developed significant patina.
Bracelet is a 93150 with 501b endlinks. This bracelet was offered as an optional upgrade for this watch prior to the introduction of the fliplock 78790. It has a P12 clasp code so it is period correct and likely original.
Watch has been polished but the lugs are thick and even and the lug holes remain crisp. Paint on the bezel numbers is in good shape.
There is a scratch on the crystal from the 10 to 12 markers; see last photo with light at the right angle to highlight it. There are also a few minor edge chips. Hasn’t really bothered me but I would replace at the next service (~ $250)

I purchased the watch from a dealer in Michigan in March of this year. Service history is unknown but it winds smooth and runs well. The dealer pressure tested it when I picked it up. Selling because I ended up getting both colours of this watch and I prefer the polar. Comes with box but no papers.

Offered at $6950 including overnight insured shipping to your door.

I have lots of references on this forum, just search my username.

I was going to link to the recent post about how you shouldn’t buy 5 digit Rolex...but seems it’s been deleted!

5 digits rock! Check this out if you’ve never tried one!
