For sale is an F4-serial, 26mm Rolex Lady-Datejust (Model Ref. 79174) in Stainless Steel, with automatic movement, silver dial, 18k gold hands and baton hour markers, 18k white gold fluted bezel, and jubilee bracelet (Bracelet Ref. 62510).
This is a true one-owner watch, originally purchased by me brand new from Damiani Jewellers in Woodbridge, Ontario, an Authorized Rolex Dealer, on February 25, 2006. My wife has worn the watch regularly, albeit gently, since purchase. There are no timekeeping or other known issues. Needless to say it’s out of warranty. It was serviced about 3 years ago by Shane Ede of Toronto. I do not have a receipt for that service.
The case sides and bracelet clasp show inevitable signs of normal wear, but no deep scratches or gouges. The watch has never been polished, therefore the edges remain crisp. A professional polishing should bring it up to new-looking, although it looks very nice the way it is. The bracelet has very minimal stretch, if any, which is unusual and always a plus. All removed links will be included. The crown screws down smoothly and securely. The sapphire crystal is unscratched, however there are a few tiny nicks along the edge, observable only on close examination and consistent with normal wear although not affecting the integrity of the crystal in any way.
All original boxes, booklets, and serial papers, as well as the hologram red seal hang tag, will accompany this Lady-Datejust. This is an absolutely “full kit” package, with everything that was received from Damiani’s Jewellers when purchased by me brand new. Serial number has been obscured in the photos for security. All photos taken on December 22, 2018. The last two photos, showing a Lady-Datejust against a white background, are stock photos of the identical watch, which I've uploaded here to give you a better idea of the brightness of the silver dial. The other photos -- those of the actual watch -- unfortunately fall victim to the effects of the poor lighting and reflections, which make the dial look a bit off-colour and darker than the true silver colour actually seen "in person".
The Rolex website lists the 26mm Lady-Datejust, with smooth steel bezel (not the more costly 18k white gold fluted bezel as on this watch) for $5,550 CDN. These are rarely discounted by AD’s and with tax would cost almost $6,300 if purchased new. (Note: In 2016, Rolex discontinued the 26mm case size and moved to a 28mm case and larger; however, ADs continue to sell the 26mm model which, at least according to Rolex sales reps with whom I’ve spoken, is still in considerable demand.)
Reasonably priced at $3,550. Serious offers welcome. Lowballers will be ignored. Will ship fully insured by Parcel Pro/FedEx following payment by EMT, or sell locally F2F within the GTA.
