I have my eye on a “grail” so time to move on my last vintage piece. This is superb example of a vintage (1948 as best I can determine) Stainless Steel Omega in an oversized case. Case, movement and crown all signed and correct for the piece. The dial is in very good condition with a raised logo and index markers and other numerals painted (original). Has the 2505-1 Case, crisp signed crown and 30T2-PC manual wind movement in excellent running and cosmetic condition. 38mm “Calatrava” style case with 18mm drilled lugs. The case has been polished at some point in the past and overall in very good condition as is the caseback.
Overall one of the best examples you’ll find for a 70 year old vintage watch of this caliber. I’ll include a couple of like new Nato bands and a slightly used brown and black leather band. Also included is a very nice vintage Omega Seamaster Box. Again this is in excellent condition, with the outer box as well (some marking but not bad and no breaks or tears in the box.) The inner box even has the original integrated price tag. I suspect the box is from an early 50’s-60’s Seasmaster. I’ve seen boxes like this, in not nearly as nice condition going in the $200-300 arrange on their own.
I am having trouble determining the value of this package as I’ve seen similar Omega’s alone without box and depending on condition going anywhere from $650US to $2100US. Asking a reasonable $925 for the watch and box. E-transfer and price includes Xpress Post insured anywhere in Canada. Email directly to jsimms@eagle.ca
Thank you.
