The Steinhart Ocean Vintage GMT is made to the highest of Swiss standards. The case of the Steinhart Ocean 1 is made from 316L stainless steel. Features a satin brushed finish on the top of the lugs and polished sides of the case. This finishing follows through the stainless steel bracelet. The compact 39mm case has a lug to lug distance of 47mm and a thickness of 14mm, creating a refined character that looks right in place even in dressier occasions.
The GMT bezel on the Ocean GMT pays tribute to the original cave explorer watch. The fixed bezel is circular brushed with a fine polished bevel that goes around the edge that extends to the side giving it a hint of elegance.
The Steinhart signed 6.5mm screw-down crown is located at 3 O'clock and is good for a water resistant rating of 300m. The Ocean Vintage GMT comes with the new softer domed sapphire crystal with inner anti-reflective coating for added clarity under different lighting conditions.
The dial on the Ocean Vintage GMT is matte black with printer hour markers that are filled with old radium looking SuperLuminova. Similar SuperLuminova luminous is applied as well to minute, hour and second hands. And of course the iconic orange GMT hand
Complete kit includes the watch, sized stainless steel bracelet with extra links, warranty card, manual and box. The watch was purchased in April 2021, comes with a 2-years warranty from Steinhart and additional 180 days of warranty from Gnomon. Condition is excellent with some desk dive marks on the bracelet and clasp.

Overall, the Steinhart Ocean 1 exhibits very great value. For the price, you get a Swiss Made watch with an ETA 2893/SW300 movement, a full 316L stainless steel 300m diver watch with SEL bracelet and an overall well finished sturdy watch. This was before not achievable until Steinhart arrived and also probably the reason why Steinhart has quite a huge following although only been around for only 15 years.
