"THE FIRST "AND ONLY" WATCH WORN ON THE MOON"
This is the verbiage on the back on the "sapphire sandwich" Speedy 3573.50... from 2007 (77xxxxxxxxx)
Some have stated this is incorrect because another astronaut snuck a Waltham aboard an Apollo flight and wore it during an EVA on the moon.
If true, why does Omega still claim the Speedy is the "only" watch worn on the moon in the verbiage inscribed on the 3573.50 case back?
The "only" bit, is lies.
It is a documented fact that Dave Scott wore his Waltham chrono on the moon when his Speedy packed up.
So the sapphire sandwhiches from today delete "and only"...
Own a piece of history where Omega was caught lying on the back of this stunning Speedmaster.
The watch winds super well and keeps perfect time.
Great condition no really visible scratches or dings.
Full length bracelet and this is watch only.
$5050 shipped and insured overnight...anywhere in Canada.
Interesting trades always considered.
