I spoke with Justin, the owner of TAG1000DIVER, and he told me this crown was originally a Bayonet style crown, (half turn to lock it,) and they commonly get stripped over the years.

So this crown isn't suppose to be a press fit crown. It closes like a press fit but should be a locking crown.

I'm going to take $100 off the asking price because of the crown.

There seems to be some debate about whether or not these Heuer marked crowns were originally push in crowns.

I was told by Justin that they were always locking crowns that became stripped and I was contacted by another Heuer collector who stated that yes some of the Heuer crowns were originally push fit and never locked.

Both collectors know their stuff so I'm not sure who's right.

I put a Shark Mesh bracelet on this watch. It's used but is still in good condition and serves this watch well.
