With a bit of reluctance I am putting up a recent trade acquisition from an established CWC member - I have my eye on something else and I need to clear up some room and cash.
Up for offer today is the classic Tag Heuer re-edition of the Steve McQueen Monaco. If you have ever lusted after a Monaco, the McQueen with the classic starburst blue dial is the one you want!
This is the CW2113 version with the automatic caliber 17 movement. What I love about the 2113 is the case, it is 38mm vs. the 2111 which grew to 39mm and it has a hesalite crystal, which I think works much better for a classic re-edition (I mean hesalitle vs. sapphire speedy pro - easy choice for me!).
The watch has the original OEM dark navy croc/leather band, which is in fantastic shape and is on the OEM tag deployant.
Overall the condition of the watch is excellent. The case has two finishes, bushed and polished. The brushed portions are great and the polished areas show a few swirls - but no deep scratches or flea bites. A bit of time with a cape cod or a light dealer polish would bring this up to mint. In my short ownership the watch has been keeping excellent time and the chronos all reset to zero.
The watch comes with everything pictured (inner and outer box and papers, minus the original card). Not sure of the exact production/sale date - Tag serial numbers are tough to reference; however, the 2113 was produced from 2005-2010. The previous CWC owner indicated that he bought it from the original owner 4 years ago who flipped it shortly after buying it - maybe a NOS?
I am offering it for $3400 net to me. FTF in the GTA is always preferred, but I can ship via Parcel Pro. I am not looking for trades, but you can always try me, ideally with cash back to me.
