I found a great home for this beauty earlier this year, but the gentleman I sold it to is financing a home renovation, so I jumped at the chance to add this back into the flock.

Cash deal is good but certain trade deals are preferred. Shopping list:
A Rolex 1675, 1680, 5513, BLNR or 116610LV.
The older the better on the first 3, and I’m perfectly fine with a watch that is unpolished and beat to hell. I like my watches with some character.
The PAM214 “Statham” Rattrapante:
A favorite of actor Jason Statham as the name implies. He wore his personal 214 during several of his movies including The Mechanic.

The watch features probably the best looking movement Panerai has made to date IMO. I still remember the first time seeing this watch in the Panerai boutique and was blown away as it was on a whole different level than the standard fare. Though a 7750 based movement, this isn’t your average ETA. Sure, it’s beautifully inexpensive to service, with parts readily available globally, but Panerai did more than a little modifying when creating this gem making it one of the most complicated watches Panerai has created to date. Gotta love that Flyback evolution to a full blown Rattrapante here.

Panerai has since launched various models such as the Rattrapante Regatta, but this is the OG. The one that started it all. And still to this day the only Radiomir based Rattrapante made. Panerai typically produces only 500-1000 Rattrapante watches a year. So, though not technically labeled a special edition, Panerai doesn’t get much more special than this. An exclusive club with less than 15,000 members world wide.

This set includes:
1. Rare OEM Panerai Box with lambskin insert used for solid gold Panerai models. Very swanky.
2. Rare 1.4mm OEM Panerai driver used for Radiomir strap changes, which I have to order from Europe as they don’t sell them here in Canada.

3. Rare OEM Panerai 20mm deployment for 27x20 OEM straps. 9.5/10 condition

4. Damiani authentication and appraisal for $14,000
5. Full 2017 Service, with the watch currently insanely accurate at +\- 1 sec per day.
5. PAM00214 Rattrapante case in 9+ condition. Aside from minor flea bites, there are 2 very minor condition items to note.
6. Guarantee booklet
7. Model booklet
8. Original OEM crocodile strap 9/10 condition .
1. There is a very small nick at 12 o’clock on the Bezel ring. Need macro lens to see properly. Easy to polish out, but I’m keeping it unpolished. Free polish with purchase if buyer chooses.

2. There is a 0.3mm scratch center sapphire. Given the location, you need to actively look for it at an angle. Happy to have a new $200 OEM sapphire installed, though if I keep the watch, it’s something I never see, so wouldn’t swap it myself. Look under the first A in Rattrapante on the dial to see it in photo below. After which try to find it on the other HD photos taken with a Canon Mark I with pro 24-70mm ultrasonic lens.

Depending on the cash or terms, the better the deal, the more flexibility I have to add in awesome accessories like the ones I’ll show in the next update.
