Selling this beautiful discontinued Two Tone Rolex Daytona 116503 with rare blue dial. I had posted the same watch on CWC last year however I ended up selling it to a personal friend, for whom I’m now selling on their behalf. The watch and kit is currently in my possession. I was the original owner as I had purchased it as NOS from a Canadian AD in August 2017 therefore is still under warranty for another three years. The warranty card is under my name. The AD I purchased it from estimated that it was discontinued 3 years prior to me purchasing it. The blue dial with Arabic numerals had a very short run with the AD estimating it to be between only 1-2 years.
I sold it to my friend last October who has since decided to sell it as he recently picked up a BLRO.
Overall the watch is in very good condition however as gold is very soft, it’s showing plenty of swirls as it was worn frequently by him, however a very light polish from the Rolex Service Center would clean it up nicely. I’ve elected to leave it as is and allow the next owner to make that call on their own. I know the term “unpolished” is loosely thrown around these days however being the original owner and knowing the current owner personally I can attest that this is 100% unpolished. The brushed stainless steel portions are in excellent condition relative to its gold counterparts.
One scratch I must note that I’d classify as more than swirling is on the bezel at 1:30, which I’ve captured in photos below.
Included is the full kit including outer sleeve. Although the manual is not in the photos, it will be included with the sale.
