Up for your consideration is one of the best value 'true' in-house worldtimers from Montblanc which has been making waves in the watchmaking industry in the past decades. This specific version has the two multi-level sapphire discs rotating in the span of 24 hours in order to represent 12 hours of day and 12 hours of night in the world map conveyed in the middle of the dial. The Montblanc Spirit Terrarum was first released in 2015 and was nominated in the GPHG. The value proposition pegged this hard against stablemates in the Richemont group from JLC with its universal time, and VC with their traditionelle worldtime (which looks very familiar to this).
The Montblanc UNICEF Orbis terrarum is a unique combination of both the spirit orbis terrarum and the 4810 orbis terrarum models - it has the 41mm case of the spirit but the dial is the colored world map version taken from the 4810 orbis terrarum. This is the Asian UNICEF limited edition which had 500 pieces overall and the Chinese text in the world map dial. The watch is in excellent shape - no major scratches or dings that I can see and was barely worn by myself, and keeps great timekeeping. Comes with the full box and set and two straps. I have worn it primarily on an aftermarket Barton strap and tang buckle and barely used the dark bue OEM strap with deployant which is included. Looking for $4,800 plus shipping OBO (retail was around 8500), so don't miss the opportunity to snag this fantastic and unique piece that likely won't be found again easily anytime soon.
