It’s time to pass this along to another vintage collector.

What we have here is a Nivada Compensamatic I bought from a watchmaker at an NAWCC meet, back in the day when those meetings were possible.

This watch dates to circa 1965.

Dial: Near perfect silver dial with a very small amount of patina under magnification. Nice texture that catches the light. Applied stick markers. Printing is crisp; no issues.

Case: 34 mm case in very good vintage condition with very few swirlies, no major dings or dents. There are small flaws on the edge of the 11 o’clock lug. No biggie, but they are there. I believe the crown is original to the watch — also nice and crisp. This watch has been worn infrequently and well taken care of. 18 mm lug width.

Nice domed crystal which is likely original to this watch.

This watch wears bigger than 34 mm because of the thin bezel.

Movement: Manual wind AS ST 1802/08 is running well, winds and sets easily, keeps good time and holds power well. No service information or paperwork.

I’m offering this watch for $275, including Canada Post tracked shipping. Mask to mask meeting in Ottawa welcome.

Lots of references here on CWC. Thanks for looking.

Interesting watch. Called a “Compensamatic”, but it’s a manual wind. That’s a conversation starter, I guess.

Yours for $250, shipping on me. Thanks for looking.
