For sale or trade is my Rolex 16750 GMT, serial 8.24m, dating the watch to 1983. The serial is correct for a matte dial, however the watch comes with a later service dial and insert. The reference and serial number are clearly visible between the lugs.
The bracelet code is “H”, which is correct for 1983, and matches the serial year of the case. The oyster bracelet is in great condition and has very little stretch. Comes with all 12 links.
The case is thick, and has been polished in the past.
The crystal is acrylic, which is correct to the watch.
The wheel date has open 6’s and 9’s, which is correct to the watch. The movement has the quick-set date feature.
The early 16750 matte dial watches have become very hard to find. Adding a correct matte dial into this watch would be a project worth taking on.
