Hi folks
Up today I have one of my all time favourite watches from Zenith.
The El Primero lineup gets a lot of love and is the go to for Zenith enthusiasts, however in my humble opinion, Zenith knocked it out out of the park with the Defy Elite lineup, but especially with this Skeleton dial.
The star motif is apparent at first glance on the open worked dial bridges and the very welcome Easter egg by way of the starred escapement wheel seen within the movement at the 10 o’clock position
The bidirectional date wheel is a lesser known yet functional complication for those of us with more than 4-5 watches.
Legibility was my major apprehension with skeleton dials, yet I tried this out, and it’s been nothing but easy on the eyes.
Coming in at the 41mm in a rather unusual shape, the watch wears extremely well on most sized wrists up to 7.2”
The watch comes with everything minus the warranty card.
It’s currently sized for a 7” wrist very loosely and has an extra link.
There are some rather minor signs of wear on a couple of links and polished edges
by way of surface scratches and on the bezel near 6 o clock
There are no gouges, dents or dings on the watch and it’s been running at about +3s a day.
For this beauty, I’m asking $6350 f2f in the GTA or plus shipping
