Solid Gold Rolex Ref 6551 Vintage

Posting this again with (hopefully) better pictures.

This watch dates to the mid 1950s. Perfect gift for the lady in your life, but I have worn this and it gets attention, that's for sure.

Mid-size 30/31 mm Rolex Oyster case in 14K gold. Reference number is worn but clear. Serial number is worn and not legible. Apparently that is common in soft gold watches from this era kept on bracelets. I bought this watch from an established dealer at an NAWCC event.

Gold Rolex crown may be a replacement.

Movement is an automatic cal 1130. Rolex introduced this movement in 1955. Keeping good time, but no service records.

This is offered on a 10K gold-filled rivet bracelet manufactured by Rolex USA and dated I 71. A hard-to-find and very comfortable bracelet. A very small amount of stretch, as pictured. I wear this on a tight adjustment setting and it will fit a 7 inch wrist.

Runs, sets and crown screws down with no issues. Keeps good time but no service records.

Offered here for $2400 firm, shipping included. EFT or face to face in Ottawa, always a pleasure to meet CWC members. I am open to vintage trades of Omega and Rolex. Lots of good references; buy with confidence. Thanks for looking.

Holy cow. This one should be gone. I am ready for reasonable offers. This is a very cool vintage Rolex, hard to come by.

Was going to let this drift into the sunset. But...your wife/girlfriend's birthday is coming up. She appreciates vintage watches, and at least gets a kick out of your collection. She prefers gold to silver and she likes a watch that's big enough to read easily but doesn't scream "look at me, I'm a Rolex".

If that's your wife/girlfriend, this is the watch for her. Best regards, Nick

I decided to bump this sales thread again. Christmas is coming, and maybe a solid gold vintage Rolex, uncommon reference, will fit your gift plans. Thanks, Nick
