SOLD! Tudor Fastrider Black Shield Ceramic Chronograph M42000CR "As New"
SOLD to a lucky CWC member!
FOR SALE: The original (and best) Tudor Fastrider Black Shield Chronograph.
These don't come up very often and by large are a misunderstood and underappreciated watch. It was Tudor's idea to create a model that would compete with it's first cousin; the Rolex Daytona. It would "one-up" the Daytona with it's larger size, date feature and black ceramic case with bead-blasted finish and monobloc middle case. This is the same process you'll find on $100,000 watches and not some simply "coated" ceramic finish. The result was a 42mm watch that was bigger, badder and blacker than the Daytona. Also it's tougher-than-nails as the ceramic construction makes it virtual impossible to scratch.
NOTE: The Black Shield is not to be confused with the steel case Fastrider that surfaced a few years ago with yellow, green and red faces (those models have since been discontinued as Tudor wanted the ceramic construction to be the hallmark of the Fastrider / Black Shield line)
Mine has been owned since new and being part of a large collection, it "may" have been worn 6 or 7 times and is in as-new condition. Full kit with unsigned card (July 15 / 2015) With it's red accents on non-glare black it makes for an incredibly striking (yet subtle) watch. The perfect accessory for your black automobile and especially Ducati motorcycle (Ducati incidentally was involved in it's design)
My photos do not capture the red colour of the watch. My camera made the red look "orangey". See the Tudor website for better photos of how the red "pops". It's a striking piece.
