Gorgeous Tudor Ref. 7919 Oysterdate
For your consideration is an original Tudor 7919 from the late 1950s. A larger 34 x 44 mm case with 20 mm lugs, perfect for leather straps or a jubilee bracelet. It's in phenomenal condition for it's age with some minor scratches and knicks to the case as I've tried to capture in the photos below. Manual wound watch. Just the head of the watch, no box and papers.
With the rose Tudor logo, the dial is a creamy patina off-white that has developed extremely evenly without any patches. The date wheel is in all red with a nice cyclopes for easy viewing. The watch is keeping great time but I'd recommend a service for more guaranteed accuracy. The crown in an original Rolex crown with the logo and groove still in tact. The tube could use a replacement as it's been slightly warned out over time. I should mention, the seconds hand is actually blued steele so at some angles, you'll really see the blue shine through.
A great dressy piece with a lot of history. Why am I selling this? The wife is pregnant and I'd like to pick up a new watch on the year of my kids birth (this year September!).
Price is $1,600. Toronto F2F is preferred. Not looking for trades.
