Offered for sale is a vintage Omega Seamaster with a highly sought after linen dial.
The watch dates back to the early 1960s.
Original, unrefinished dial features a highly sought after linen effect. Applied Omega sign and hour markers and a coat hanger S in the Seamaster, which is not seen in the more common Seamaster and Seamaster De Ville models from the mid to late 1960s.
The watch features a monocoque or unishell case with a gold bezel and stainless steel case.
I haven’t taken photos of the movement as it has to be removed through the front of the case and I do not want to risk damaging the dial. The watch has an automatic movement, likely a cal. 550 or 552 as there is no date feature. Service history is unknown but the watch is keeping good time. As with any vintage watch, a service is recommended if you intend to wear it daily.
Omega signed crown, some plating loss at the tip of the crown.
