Offered here is a 1960’s RCAF issued single button chronograph by Wittnauer
This 36mm without the crown Stainless Steel Single button chronograph has its original dial and the Venus Caliber 175 has been serviced a while back. The watch operates well and keeps Excellent time. The only issue I see with the operation of the watch is the single button pusher sticks a bit and it clicks when its ready to be used again. This is a quick fix at a watchmaker…. It sticks for about 1-2 seconds… so you cant activate it after its used for 1-2 seconds until you hear the click… The watch came from the son of the original owner here in Canada. Both the son and the Father were pilots….
The watch is what some collectors call the civilian version of the RCAF issued watches…. It does not have any RCAF markings on it but was all correct in terms of the watch…. If you are looking for an interesting watch with some history, this watch could be the one…..
I will offer this watch for $4995 plus insured shipping…. FTF in the GTA is fine…. I would also entertain an interesting trade…
