For sale or trade is the iconic vintage Rolex Day-Date 1803, serial 3,246,XXX (1971).
It’s quite rare to find one of these vintage Presidents in this type of condition. The watch is unpolished, in its original form. The condition is nothing short of incredible for its age, and feels like it’s in NOS condition. The pan (or step) dial is stunning, and in absolutely mint condition. All the lume plots by the indices are fully intact and completely match the lume on the hands. The dial is silver, which in my opinion looks the best of all the dials that came on the Rolex Day-Date reference 1803.
I can’t stress the watch’s condition enough. It literally looks and feels brand new – in museum-like condition. I don’t know why I’m selling it, so if I withdraw it after the listing then its because I’ve had a change of heart.
I purchased the watch from the second owner (a very trustworthy gentleman who’s been a real estate agent in Toronto for decades). He had it sitting in his safety deposit box since the early 90’s.
I’ve been wearing it for the last week and the watch is telling COSC time. My favourite part is looking at the watch at midnight and seeing the day and date change at the same time.
The bracelet has zero stretch, and looks virtually brand new. It comes with 22 links, but is fitted for my wrist in the pictures below.
