Hi everyone,
For sale is this awesome Seiko Quartz diver 7548-7000 from 1981. Overall cosmetic condition is fair. I’ve never polished it and I doubt the previous owner did. There are a number of dents and scratches all over the case and bezel, but somehow it works on this classic tool watch. Dial, kanji date, hands, and bezel are original.
Approximate dimensions: 42mm case width, 13mm thickness, 22mm between the lugs.
I am a hobbyist and I did some work on this one:
- complete tear down and ultrasonic cleaning of the case
- replaced all gaskets: caseback, bezel, crown, and crystal
- replaced mineral crystal
- added new Energizer battery
- relumed bezel pip. Bi-directional bezel and insert are original.
- added new aftermarket Seiko style fat spring bars
- complete tear down and cleaning and oiling of the movement (these are fully serviceable movements, not throw away)
- After all the new bits were in it the case was pressure tested to 5 BAR in my Chinese wet pressure tester and it passed.
Watch comes fitted on a brand new unworn old school style black one piece nylon NATO strap.
$300 shipped (via courier) in Canada. A little less if we can meet up in Calgary.
