I’m helping a colleague post for sale his Nomos Worldtimer (Midnight Blue dial) for $5700 (preferably in the GTA). His words below:
I love the colour, complication and romanticism behind this completely in-house Nomos. It's both playful and classy, extraordinarily well-finished, and a spectacular value proposition. A Blog to Watch described it as "sophisticated, novel, and quite simply a lot of fun to operate"; Monochrome Watches described it as Nomo's "most precious" and "a piece that needs to be discovered"; and Theo and Harris described it as the "Best Everyday Watch Under $5,000(USD)". I find it easy to wear both casually in a polo or dressed up with a suit, measuring 39.9 mm (how very German in its precision). [Hodinkee review linked here].
This is a complete set and comes with original protective film for the watch face, unsigned/dated Nomos warranty card in original pouch, original tang buckle, receipt from purchase, and original pusher in original packaging. The condition of everything is excellent, having only been worn in rotation in an office environment since purchasing it. The watch does contain minor swirls/hairlines which, even when photographed in different lighting conditions, is difficult to see. There is a small indentation around the 27 minute mark that I only noticed when using the zoom feature of my iPhone camera. I have tried to illustrate in photos taken over the course of a couple of days and in different positions. The Shell Cordovan strap and deployant buckle are near pristine appearing brand new. I would be happy to share additional photos or a video, if you would like to see more.
I purchased this piece preowned from JB Hudson (a Nomos AD) in Minnesota September 2019 (and the watch is from 2017). The provenance was important to me, and I only bought this item after learning it belonged to the lead buyer, David, himself. It is still under the AD's warranty. Until about four days ago, I had no intention to sell this watch until I saw a colleague on CWC recently list a piece that I have been coveting for many years. While I do not expect to break even after purchasing from an AD, please be kind with your offers.
