Posting an FL Sea King 101 from 1963. Dial is pristine and beautiful, featuring markers cut into the dial and inlaid with silver foil, providing many interesting perspectives depending on light and angle. No age spots, no patina, NOT REFINISHED, not from India, it’s as if the watch sat in a drawer for 55 years. Original crown and back. Hard to find with signed crown. Manual wind, movement is pristine as well. Nicely stippled interior caseback. It consists in removing material from plates of the movement in tiny circles. This decoration is made with hundreds of overlapping circles, usually all done by hand. The initial objective was to capture dust circulating inside the movement. Less dust in the movement means better durability and therefore a greater precision over time.Just serviced, crystal replaced. Minor wear on case. Antimagnetic, shockproof.Keeps strong time, gaining less than 1 minute per 24 hrs. 30.5 mm including crown. 16 mm lugs. Perhaps best defined as a unisex size, although it looks fine on my 6.5 “ wrist. On a new calfskin strap. Recently serviced at Pfaff Jewellers at a cost of $125. Open to REASONABLE offers.
