I have been mostly buying for the past 15 years and it is time to sell a few to cull the herd, so I have for sale a very clean, stainless steel, Omega Seamaster manual wind watch from 1963. I purchased the watch in 2020 and had it serviced shortly afterwards. All of the functions work as they should and it keeps very good time. I have worn it in rotation for the past 3 years but I have several other Omegas from this era and this one doesn't get enough wrist time. This watch is in excellent condition for a 60 year old watch, however the case has been polished at some point in its life, which was a common part of many services back in the day. I have taken that into consideration with the asking price.
Dial - very clean, original, sunburst dial hour markers and printing in excellent condition.
Hands - correct hands with some signs of pitting and a small hole in the tritium lume on the minute hand that is visible under a loupe. The lume was stabilized during the service in 2020.
Case - 33.5mm diameter (not including crown), 40mm lug to lug, 10mm height and 18mm lug width. The case is clean but has been polished at some point. The lug chamfers are visible but the corners are slightly rounded.
Crystal - acrylic crystal has the Omega symbol etched in the centre and is in good condition.
Caseback - very clean with the hippocampus symbol
Movement - 610 manual wind movement serviced in 2020. I have a service report from the watchmaker with images of the movement disassembly, reassembly and condition.
Crown - correct Omga crown
Watch is sold head only.
I am looking for $625 plus shipping, with payment through e-transfer and welcome face to face transactions in and around the GTA. I am happy to answer any questions and can provide more photos, if needed. I am just getting used to a new camera, so I apologize for any images that are not the best resolution or quality. I do not have a movement photo as the caseback is very tight but the service report from 2020 has multiple images if an interested buyer wants to see the condition of the movement.
