Hey Folks
Up today I have what has likely been every collectors grail at one point or another, the quintessential do-it-all watch, the Explorer.
Until recently, arguably, it has been the neo vintage go to for those of us collectors who would prefer a modern feeling rolex without paying modern pricing.
While some might prefer the more robust feel to the updated 124270 or the 214270, the 114270 with it’s solid end links is quite the challenger and will continue to be a fan favourite for decades.
The case of this watch has some signs of wear mainly on the polished sides by way of scratches and hairlines. There are also some minor strap change tool marks on the lugs by the less than savvy previous owner of this piece, however nothing observable unless you’re close enough to steam up the crystal, which has no signs of wear or imperfections.
There are a total of 11 links, minus the end links and minus the links attached to either end of the clasp, 3 of which are removable links.
The watch is sized for my 7.2” wrist quite well and has one more link in the baggy.
This kit comes with everything pictures from the bezel protector, to the hang tag, the calendar and essentially everything except the original warranty cert. The service card pictured is from 2014 and I’m told by the previous owner that Shane Ede completed the last service in March of this year, so take that for what you will.
Asking $8499 f2f in the GTA or shipped for this little superstar.
