Up today I have what has likely been every collectors grail at one point or another, the quintessential do-it-all watch, the Explorer.
While some might prefer the more robust feel to the updated 124270 or the 214270, the 114270 with it’s solid end links is quite the challenger and will continue to be a fan favourite for decades.
The watch is in overall excellent condition having been used very sparingly over the last 3 years with some minor strap change tool marks on the rear lugs and faint mm sized hairlines on the case side.
There are a total of 11 links, minus the end links or links attached to either end of the clasp.
A Steel-Reef easy link has also been fitted and is included for this example, aiding in both comfort and wearability and is sized for my 7.3” wrist.
This kit comes with everything pictured, double box, both hang tags, 3 booklets, wallet and original warranty card dated May 2009, though the M serial indicates a production year of 2007/2008.
The watch is runs at COSC level of +3s/day
For this example I’m asking $8999 shipped from the GTA.
