Up today I have my 14 y/o teenager of a submariner. The watch is in used condition and comes with everything seen in the pictures.
This watch has its fair share of scratches and scuffs with a spattering of dents and dings; essentially this watch comes from a generation where folks wore their watches as opposed to preserving them as investments.
The 14060m comes in two iterations, one being the sparse two liner, and this “Superlative Chronometer” version with 4 lines of text.
The movement housed inside both were the same, with the only significant difference being that one model was submitted for COSC certification and the other was not - you probably know which one you’re getting here.
In terms of wearability, legibility and balance, this is as daily as it gets. The bracelet feels, well, like a bracelet and has a bit more flex, as opposed to the models that succeeded, which feel more cuff like and less forgiving.
Powering the watch is the cal. 3130 movement which has been the heartbeat inside generations of submariners leading up to 2020.
The lug holes on the case, are a much needed and welcome inclusion for a strap monster such as this sub and make for an easy swap from bracelet to leather or nato.
The watch comes with the original card, manuals, matching hang tags, double boxed, outer sleeve and a 2017 service receipt.
The watch is running spot on at 0s a day and amplitude of 296
While this package is pretty much complete, it is missing 1 link and will fit a wrist of 7.5” loosely.
