Hey folks
Up for grabs is one of the easiest wearing my SMP300 Chronograph I’ve come across.
This 41.5mm diver reference 212.30.42.50.03.001 features a blue lacquer dial paired to a matching blue ceramic bezel insert.
Powering the watch is the Co-Axial Calibre 3330, that delivers chronometer level precision and features a column wheel mechanism, yielding an accuracy of +1s/day
The watch features a quick date correction mechanism built into the functional helium escape value at 10 with the included Omega rubberized tool.
The date change can also be manually actuated by cycling the hands backward past 9 pm and forward past 12.
This example also features a double domed sapphire crystal with AR coating to both sides for increased legibility which is apparent in the pics provided.
The pops of red on the chrono hand, 30 minute and hour sub dials add a nice touch of sportiness to the watch and is echoed in the Seamaster writing and 5 minute increments on the minute track.
Overall the watch is in excellent condition with the slightest signs of wear on the clasp, a true rarity for any watch over 2 years old, let alone this one.
Sized for my 7.3” wrist there are an additional 2 half links and 1 full link included.
Measuring 41.5mm across, 48.9mm lug to lug and a 16.6mm thickness, the watch is hefty on wrist and as manly a timepiece as I’ve come across. Through Omegas witchcraft, the watch hugs the wrist despite its thickness thanks to the sharply downturned lugs and with the bonus of both a dive bezel and chronograph, you get the added benefit of timing two simultaneous events.
Included in the package is the double box, manual, wallet, picto and warranty card, extra links and tool for the pusher.
This generation of the SMP300 and SMP300 chronograph will forever be my favourite as they are significantly more wearable than the current generation, with the movements retaining a higher beat rate that translates to a smoother sweep of the seconds and chrono hands.
Pricing this at $4747 shipped from the GTA
