Up today is my previously loved BB41 79230N.
The first diver from the brand to get the in house movement and a model that essentially kickstarted the brands popularity, this is as no nonsense go anywhere timepiece that was clearly a writ magnet for the previous owners.
There are signs of wear, more so the brushing is wearing off from use along with a spattering of scratches to the case sides, clasp and bracelet. The case sides and bezel have a couple fleabites and the lug hoods have some rough spots from strap changes over the years. The bezel insert and crystal are perfectly fine.
Running well within COSC at about -2s/day, amplitude is strong and doesn’t indicate a need for service any time soon.
So if you’re looking for a daily wearer you can bang about without worry, this is it.
This timepiece is a throwback to when Tudor offered a better box than Rolex, with a piano black wooden lacquer box, included in this package with the card holder, warranty card, manual, hang tag, extra links, and service booklet.
Now discontinued, I’m asking $2895 shipped from the GTA for this example.
