Up today I have, from my collection, one of the most striking blue dials I’ve come across.
This ref 554 has received far more compliments than I could have imagined and it still surprises me at every wrist roll.
At 40mm, The vibrant blue dial against the tan nato provides a contrast that can’t be achieved by a simple black strap (OEM included) and makes for a fun summer watch, which, let’s face it, is essential as we head into the bitter, wintery cold.
Bearing some scratches for the life it’s lived, the watch’s original lustre is still intact for the wearer to appreciate.
The exhibition caseback which showcases the in house caliber DUW5101 confounds the mind into thinking this is a $6k timepiece, which it is, until you realize I’ve got it set at $3199 shipped
