Hey folks up today we have a rare bird, a 2018 SLA025.
Similar in styling to the SLA039, this seiko is a beast and in my opinion beats out the 039 due to the colour palette. Though it measures in at 44mm wide and 15mm thick, the monocoque designs certainly lends to a more svelte fit for wrists as slender as 6.75”
This SLA025 is a rather faithful reissue to the original 6159-7001 and marks the 50th anniversary of the model.
The 8L55 in house high beat 36000 vph movement is Ofcourse a Grand Seiko movement that beats away at 36,000 VPH
You get a more upscale feel right from the moment you unbox the watch and are greeted with the rice paper synonymous with Grand Seiko, to the lacquered piano black box and similarly textured piano black bezel with the gilt inlay and hour markers. This is the piece to beat the black bay 58 and having owned a bb58 myself, I can attest to how Seiko has truly overbuilt this watch
Condition is good and shows some signs of wear to the case and bezel insert.
