Up today and rarely seen on the secondary market, is the Sinn 556i with a blue dial that is rather palpable and transitions from blue to a warm indigo in favourable lighting.
Unlike most 556 models, the handset and hour markers on this piece are high polished to a degree one would expect from a more dressy timepiece and coupled with a brushed case and bracelet, Sinn seems to have struck a beautiful balance for this 38.5mm tank of a watch that tows the line between casual and dressy; and with a time only complication, it’s the perfect affordable answer to the “one watch collection” debacle.
The watch has some signs of wear; a minute fleabite on the bottom right lug and some wear to the brushing from use, predominantly on the bracelet and a fine hairline on the non crown case side.
This model is paired in the fine link, fully brushed bracelet and I’m also including a branded blue strap.
The watch is keeping great time at -4/5s a day and is a full set.
The watch retails at $2666 at MSRP and $155 for the strap.
