Up for grabs is one of my favourite variants of the SMP300
This ref 210.30.44.51.06.001 combines the best parts of the SMP300, from the wave dial, to the ceramic bezel with the best parts of the automatic speedmaster variants i.e. the robust co-axial column wheel movement with the Bicompax display and tops it off with buttery smooth actuation of the ceramic pushers; all this yielding an undeniably handsome and tooltastic timepiece.
It’s everything you would want your speedmaster/Seamaster mashup to be, beefed up and with a diving bezel, allowing you to time two simultaneous events.
The watch itself is in great condition with minor signs of hairlines on the clasp and some portions of the bracelet, though incredibly negligible.
At 44mm, this is not your average SMP300 and its heft is unmistakable on wrist, though not ungainly.
Powering the watch is the cal 9900, keeping METAS accuracy at +1/+3s a day.
Msrp on this piece is $11,600 plus tax and for a not a lot more than the standard SMP300 and far less than the automatic speedy 44’s, I'm asking $6999 f2f GTA, essentially 40% off retail
