SUPER SPONSOR
Hey folks
Today I’m offering up one of my favourite versions of the Speedmaster. The “First Omega In Space” (FOIS) caught my attention when I first started collecting watches, owing to its slightly smaller 40mm sizing compared to the 42mm professional.
The FOIS which was fashioned after Wally Schirras personal watch he wore on the Sigma 7 mission, the beloved CK2998 which predates the Moonwatch by nearly half a decade and to me, strikes the perfect balance between the moonwatch, the rather hard to obtain CK2998 and the “Ed White”
The applied omega logo, angular lugs, sapphire crystal, Alpha handset and overall ease of wearability make this a watch that is easily dressed up or down, while simultaneously carrying a timeless vintage vibe.
These pieces have since been discontinued and house the Cal.1861 movement which is running strong at +5s a day.
The watch comes as a full kit and shows no signs of wear. As a bonus, included is the Forstner Flatlink bracelet which elevates the vintage look of the watch even further, which has since been sold out and is true to the original speedy bracelets with the elastic links near the 6 o clock portion of the clasp.
Asking a fair and reasonable $6850 f2f GTA for the last run of this now discontinued model . Shipping can be had at cost
