Hey folks
Up today I have one of my all time favourite iterations of the Speedmaster, the DSOTM.
Most folks are usually averse to owning a piece like this with a 44.25mm case size but with its short lug to lug of 49.7mm, the all black ceramic in brush and polish, the bombé lugs and its 99g weight, the watch appears and feels smaller on wrist than it should, something closer to a 42mm timepiece.
The DSOTM in my opinion represents the strides Omega has taken both in the technological and horological avenues, staying true to the Speedmaster heritage while employing the use of ceramic to a much higher degree than most other brands.
Its Bicompax subdial layout is cleaner and yields a more balanced visual aesthetic along with a date at the best possible placement, 6’o clock.
Overall in mint condition thanks to the ceramic case, there are no discernible marks and the AR is excellent, with maybe minor hairlines here and there.
The caliber 9300 is a 28,800 VPH movement with a column wheel mechanism viewed through a massive panoramic caseback.
The watch comes as a full set , with hang tag, pillow, booklet, 2 cards and wallet, outer box, watch pouch. Retail for this DSOTM was around $18,000+ tax.
I’m asking $10,250 shipped from the GTA
.
