Up for grabs is my Astron SBXY055 which was a JDM piece limited to 500 pieces.
Coming in at 42.7mm with a short 48mm lug to lug and a 11.4mm thickness it wears incredibly well on my 7.3” wrist thanks to its titanium construction that is DLC treated.
With minor signs of wear to the clasp and one or two links of the bracelet, it’s in overall very good shape considering titanium’s inherent scratch magnetism.The only other niggle I noticed is that the date wheel is a bit off centre, not an issue for me but could be for some.
Powering the watch is the radio controlled 8B63 movement which boasts a plethora of functions like dual time, perpetual calendar, day and date complication.
Syncing with radio broadcast overnight means this one will autocorrect daily with access to a radio signal.
One of my favourite aspects of the watch is the quick adjust clasp, which has me wondering why GS has not utilized this tech as yet. To actuate you simply long press the twin triggers on the clasp and adjust as needed.
In addition to the above you’re also treated to Super Clear AR coating that makes the crystal practically disappear and heightens the visual of the dial that features a "Super Nova" purple starfield which was designed to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Astron.
Comparables are few and far between as most are outside are borders and around $1400
This one is sized for my 7.3” wrist and includes two extra links for additional sizing and comes with the double box, manual and warranty card.
