Up for grabs is my Uber comfortable and ever so versatile SBGM253.
I know one sold very recently on here via our beloved MrYYZ, so for anyone that missed out, here is another one.
In keeping with the SBGM lineup, this derives from the darling, the OG, the SBGM221, except on bracelet and with a metallic blue dial.
Created for the 25th anniversary of GS’ Caliber 9S, this simple yet stunning execution of a dial features a subtle sunburst in baby blue.
As with most special or limited edition GS, this one features the anodized blue rotor.
The gold tone appliqué logo is a special touch and counterbalances the subdued blue GMT hand and similarly coloured printing of the 24 hour scale.
The only thing that could have made the SBGM221 better was the addition of the bracelet and with this model, you would be all set. The drilled lug holes are perfect for strap changes.
Dimensions are 39.5mm with a 47mm L2L and a 13.7mm thickness.
The watch is in overall excellent to near mint condition with no discernible wear to the case or bracelet.
This is a limited edition of 1700 pieces, though I’d suggest buying this not for the “limited run” but simply because of it’s simplicity, functionality and beauty.
Retail is $7,600, I’m asking $5699 in the GTA or shipping at cost
