Hey Folks
Up for your consideration I have my SLA065 which is a reinterpretation of Seiko's 1965 dive watch. This model is limited to 1300 pieces worldwide and comes in at a staggering retail price of $3900 CAD + tax.
The watch comes as a full kit with outer and inner boxes, tags, booklet, and warranty card.
It is powered by the Grand Seiko finished 8L35 movement which boasts a 50 hour power reserve, and features a Zaratsu polished 41mm case.
The dial and bezel are the true showstoppers featuring a beautiful blue that changes color based on lighting.
For those wondering about the lines on the dial, they are inspired by an astrolabe, which was a tool initially used by astronomers and later as a navigational tool used to help sailors determine their location based on the position of the sun and other stars. The purpose behind this stylistic representation is tied in to the charity supported by this Seiko LE, which is conducting underwater archeology near the Greek island of Fournoi so as to better understand navigation and sailing in the Mediterranean as far back as the fourth century.
Back to the watch; this is a 2023 local AD purchase and carries the balance of Seikos 3 year warranty
The condition on this piece is near mint and I’m asking a mere $1999 f2f GTA, that’s 50% off
