They do make them. JDM only (typical).

Those appear to be spring drive and not quartz… you had my curiosity peaked though!

All of these points make me like quartz far, far less. Maybe I need to rethink how I feel about it....

Fair enough,
I argued poorly for Quartz…,
My point with my arguments being that Quartz being ‘lesser than’ in terms of prestige, is I find subjective.

Having said that though…watching an automatic movement at work is a beautiful thing, so is the feeling of winding a watch until you begin to feel that tension.

Out of about 8 or so luxury pieces, 2 are quartz. Both style movements have their place

There's nothing wrong with quartz. Especially the high end type - read this for interesting information.

It's like saying manual shift transmissions are inferior to automatic (or vice versa). Illogical arguments at best.

Agree. I love my 6 spd 2019 VW. No one wanted it. I love it.

My first decent timepiece was a quartz. I still own it and while it does see only gym and cycling activity nowadays, I love the damn thing and will never part with it.

While I largely concur, and don’t necessarily seek out quartz watches, I have to say I’ve gotten a lot of enjoyment out of my quartz PRX. I can absolutely see a place for both in a collection.
