Hey folks
Up for consideration is likely one of the best releases from Tudor this year.
The BB54 in its black dial configuration essentially stole the BB58’s crown early on and id comparisons are your thing, then the Lagoon Blue is essentially a glow up to the standard 54, which is essentially dressed in sweats by comparison.
Tudors intention with this M79000-0001 release was to “evoke somewhere warm, where the sun shines onto waves of azure water and white sand beaches”, and while I don’t necessarily get those vibes, I do certainly see the blue waters of Tobermory and beach-like sandy texture on the dial.
The Black Bay 54 follows the traditional styling and size of the original 7922 in its form factor, but that’s essentially where it departs and levels up to a more luxurious experience.
I didn’t jump on to the hype train for this release as it didn’t seem that special on paper or stock pictures, but in person, this has got to be one of, if not my only, favourite Tudor.
The sizing is ideal for anyone with a sub 7” wrist, male or female and the aesthetic sits somewhere between a BB54, Yachtmaster and OP36.
Ideal for almost any situation, this is realistically the only watch you’d need to own from Tudor.
The watch is in absolutely mint condition, having been worn only for the wrist shots and still retains all of its stickers.
The watch runs like it should and carries the balance of the 5 year warranty.
Included is the double box, hang tag, original receipt copy, manuals, bezel protector AND the coffin these are usually shipped in to the AD.
Retail is $5520 plus tax and comparables that are used go around $6800 upward.
I’m asking $6499 shipped from the GTA for this pristine example.
