ITEM CONDITION: This watch is excellent to near mint. This watch was sitting in a safe for a long time. It is sterling silver and has some patina on the case but can be polished off with a cloth. I am leaving it and not polishing it. This watch has been confirmed all original from a very serious Rolex professional here in Ontario. It has been to Rolex Canada and has been deemed all original (by words of the head watchmaker)
CASE SIZE: 34mm Signed Rolex 44359, Sterling 925 and an English Hallmark on the inside of the case back.
CASE MATERIAL: Sterling Silver (marked)
STRAP SIZE: 16mm
STRAP MATERIAL: Leather strap
WHAT'S INCLUDED: the watch, all naked!
OTHER COMMENTS: This watch runs well, the crystal is Perfect! This is a fine example of a c1920 trench watch.. Rolex Canada and Switzerland has very limited information of any watch made before 1935. They were relying on other manufacturers for cases, straps, movements (at times). There is no complete record of anything pre 1935 but they did like the watch when I brought it in.
THIS WATCH SHOULD NOT BE TREATED LIKE A NEW ROLEX. I WOULD NOT EVEN WASH MY HANDS WITH IT ON MY WRIST!
Very common for these vintage Rolex watches to be in really rough shape, mostly because they are submerged in water, get wet and they are not waterproof by any means... This watch has not seen any inside water.
