This is a watch I was intending to keep but my collection has taken a bit of a turn and so I am considering letting it go. The watch has an interesting police history. The original owner bought it when he first joined the RCMP in about 1987. He wore it every day during his entire 15 year career as a weapons expert and in the General Investigations Section and for another 15 years afterwards. He finally traded it for a no date sub and I ended up with the watch.
This is a Rolex 16030. Dated 1986 with matching 1986 jubilee bracelet. The watch was just fully service by Rolex at the cost of $1100 and carries a full two year Rolex warranty. During service a new crystal, crown, tube and all seals were replaced but the case was left unpolished at my request. I had a set of hands from a Rolex datejust 116264 installed for the pop of the red second hand. The original hands are included and are still very mint. The watch currently has an aftermarket oyster bracelet as the original jubilee has some stretch (my plan was to send it to Michael young for a refresh)
The watch is running at less than +-1sec per day on the wrist. (I will attach the Timegrapher report tonight)
