Up for sale is my 1940’s 37.5mm Chronographe Suisse in 18K. This is a 70+ year old watch, it is far from perfect. However the Venus 188 movement winds and keeps good time. The chronograph functions do not work most of the time. It does get stuck around the 15 second mark. The stop/reset function does work properly though. The service history is unknown and I have personally never gotten around to servicing it. The case, case back, bezel and lugs have dents throughout. The crown and pushers are gold plated and are starting to flake. Just like every other model like this. The dial isn’t too bad. Some small dark marks are visible and some discoloring around the seconds and 30-minute marker are noticeable. I personally polished the crystal. Small marks may be present but it’s very clear. The gold case back comes off easily, with just a finger nail. I don’t know if this can be fixed. If you wear this watch with a nato, like I did, the case back should not fall off on its own. One side of the lugs have holes for a spring bar and the other side has posts. I’m not sure why that is but I have seen this before. If you like vintage watches with a bit of character, you might like this one. I’ve gotten more compliments and conversations started with this watch over any of my Rolexes.

The watch will be sold without a strap. The one in the photo is too worn and was a gift. The lug width is 20mm.
