Well, here is another one you don't see everyday. I think this is the first one listed on CWC.
Up for sale is my beautiful and very rare Doxa Sub 300T Professional US Divers Aqua Lung.
Best I can tell this was one of the early models so dated to 1969ish, it is pre-Syncron. Condition is honest and true for a 55 year old icon. It's seen some action but is still in good condition considering. Pics taken under sunlight to illustrate true condition.
The watch is all original. It even has the original Doxa branded crown! Paint has worn off the outer part of the bezel but the numbers are deep so it could easily be repainted if the new owner wishes.
Serial number is visible on the case back along with an old engraving I can't make out from a previous owner.
Dial and hands are insane and immaculate. The hands were stabilized during a recent service. Tritium lume glows for a few seconds and you can see the lume is original, uniform and beautifully patina'd. Any spots or marks you see are on the glass crystal which has a few marks, nothing major.
The watch was recently serviced by none other than Al Archer and the service paperwork will be included. As such the watch is running perfectly.
The only real issue is that the crown is stripped and will not fully screw down. There is a tiny bit of thread left so it does catch the threat to keep the crown in the screwed down position for esthetics. This is a common issue with these watches and they are impossible to find with original crowns, let alone an original crown that screws down.
The original Doxa branded beads of rice Expando bracelet with an on the fly adjustment clasp is working perfectly. This bracelet was WAY ahead of its time and extremely comfy. Fits my 7 inch wrist with one link removed and tons of adjustment left on the clasp.
This is truly a once in a lifetime opportunity to own a piece of dive watch history.
Prices fairly at $4900 and I'll include fully insured shipping.
Please let me know if you have any questions or need any more pics.
Thanks for looking!
